If your vehicle has recently had a plate change, you may get a 'Vehicle Not Found' error when trying to search for the registration.
This is due to the time it takes for the information to be passed on from the DVLA to our data supplier.
It can sometimes take up to 2 weeks for new changes to appear on our system.
In the meantime, you can use the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service to check your vehicle by following the link below:

If you're still having problems after this time, or if this vehicle hasn't recently had a plate change, please contact us and we'll investigate this further.

Thank you for the valuable information about this issue. Now I understood that we should do DVLA check a vehicle thoroughly once before we buy a vehicle.
I recently had a plate change for my vehicle, and I encountered the "Vehicle Not Found" error as well. It makes sense that there’s a delay in the system updates, and I’ll check again in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, I’ll use the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service as suggested. On a side note, I’ve been struggling with a few assignments and was considering services that could do your homework for me UK. Any recommendations? It could save me some time while I wait for this update to process.
